On the weekend of June 2nd – 3rd, The Westchester Chordsmen competed in the Northern Division Contest in Cherry Hill, NJ. The chorus finished 3rd out of 14 choruses and was clearly the crowd favorite with an entertaining package that had both the judges and audience grinning from the start of the performance to the end.

There was also a quartet contest and the Westchester entry, called 29 Seconds, finished 2nd out of 17 quartets.

It was a wonderful weekend of singing with friends and the joy of performing so well makes it hard to top. And it’s not just the contest. The gathering with friends to sing in informal settings afterwards is something that can only be appreciated by those who experience it.
